What is an AVT?
An AVT, or Automotive Virtual Tour, is a digital replica of a vehicle created using high-resolution 360° panoramic photography. It provides an exact, unalterable snapshot of the vehicle’s condition at the time of capture, linked to the VIN number, and cannot be edited, ensuring complete transparency.
How can I get started with AVT?
You can start by downloading the AVT app from Google Play, Apple Store, or directly from the AVT website. After registering your account, you can begin creating virtual tours of your vehicles.
What types of virtual tours does AVT offer?
We offer four types of AVTs:
Basic Replica: A 360° spin of the vehicle’s exterior.
Exterior/Interior Replica: A full inside-and-out view.
Walkthrough Replica: A detailed, interactive tour of the vehicle.
3D Replica: The most immersive experience, with a highly detailed 3D model of actual vehicle
These options allow you to customize the experience to meet your needs.
How do I choose the right AVT replica type for my needs?
The type of AVT you choose depends on your objectives. For basic marketing needs, a Basic Replica or Exterior/Interior Replica might suffice. For more detailed documentation or interactive presentations, consider the Walkthrough or 3D Replica options.
What equipment is needed to capture 360° photos for AVTs?
To create AVTs, you’ll need a 360° camera like Insta360, Ricoh, or QooCam, along with a 10-foot selfie stick for capturing the best angles. The AVT mobile app allows you to capture 360° images directly and upload them to your tour using your AVT account. For desktop uploads, you can use images from any 360° camera. Any additional photos or videos can also be used for pushpins in your virtual tour.
Where can I capture panoramas to create AVTs?
You can capture AVTs in any open space that fits your vehicle and has a 10-foot radius clear of obstacles. For optimal results:
Outdoor shooting: Choose a location with indirect sunlight or overcast conditions to avoid harsh shadows.
Indoor shooting: Ensure the area is well-lit, with ceilings at least 3 feet higher than the tallest part of your vehicle.
Why are AVTs connected to the vehicle’s VIN number, and why is it required?
Including the VIN number links the digital replica to the specific vehicle, ensuring authenticity and preventing fraudulent alterations. This connection guarantees that the AVT accurately represents the vehicle's condition at the time of capture, helping maintain credibility and reducing the risk of complaints or accusations of fraud.
What are pushpins, and how do they enhance the AVT?
Pushpins are interactive markers that you can add to the virtual tour. They allow you to insert additional details, photos, or videos, making the AVT more engaging and informative for users. This feature is particularly useful for marketing and highlighting key vehicle features.
Can the AVT be altered or edited after it's created?
No, AVTs cannot be altered or edited. They are designed to be exact replicas of the vehicle at the time of capture, ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of the virtual tour.
However, you can always create a new AVT whenever needed!
How long is the turnaround for my virtual tour after I upload all 360° images?
Once your vehicle images are captured and uploaded, your virtual tour will be ready within 24 hours. You can easily share the tour via a website link, email, or messaging apps.
